The navigation with kayak on the lake can be completed with a visit to a spectaculair waterfall a the end point of the Via Ferrata/Climbing Trail Regina. This is what I determined today with my sherpa, Ainhoa.

It is quite common yet, to disembark during excursions, in some place, in order to wander around a little on shore. Thus we visit the mouths of tributaries of the Segre, ruins that ended up isolated after the construction of the dam and lonely beaches.

In the fourth picture you can see me taking an imaginary shower. In rainy periods indeed I would stand here under an over 200 metres high waterfall, and get wet. Without water as well, the place is worth a visit.

Moreover, it’s the ending point of the Via Ferrata Regina, now closed for safety reasons. In the last pictures we’re just being crazy, we haven’t followed the climbing track without equipment!

Here, in the early afternoon the sun hides behind the Serra d’Aubenç, which is pleasant in summer. Today it was the moment to have our ‘shepherd meal’.
