The descent of the Segre and the cruise of Oliana’s Lake
We are in the middle of the season and kayaking is now the most successful activity.
In Easter, due to the low water level, we reinvented ourselves and launched a new formula: The descent of the Lake’s ‘Tail’, with current:
In May and June, with the thaw, the reservoir rose in level. This allowed us to board near Coll de Nargó. From here we have made circular routes to the ‘Canyon of Esplovins’, for example.
Changing mooring places
This year is being very dry and the level is falling rapidly again.
Now we embark near the former Via Ferrata Regina, further south. Here the water is clean, the views are spectacular, and there are several circular route options, as well guided, as hiring.
Furthermore, we continue offering the descent of the River Segre, now linking with the cruise of the calm waters of Oliana’s Reservoir, to the Ferrata Regina, in total 9 km.
Spectacular views from La Roca del Coll
Two photos taken from la Roca del Coll:
The first facing north, with Coll de Nargó and the Lake’s Tail. This is where the descent begins.
The second facing south and down the abyss. This part is nearer to the dam, with deep and clean water. This is where the descent-cruise ends and where circular hikes both begin and end.
The last photo is a couple that just starts taking off kayaking, this week, in the south of the lake.
